  • 7DEC: Founding post member Frank Alvarado inducted into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame, joining fellow post founding member Jack Mordente
  • 11MAR: Awarded Best Senior Military Unit in Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade
  • 15MAR: Three post officers awarded American Legion Pioneer Award (Lori Rasile, Thania Rivera and Biancesca Rivera)
  • 02JULY: Awarded Team 100 Post Excellence Award recognizing membership growth, exposure of American Legion values to the community, and service projects.

  • 14SEP: New Haven Harbor #VetHike
  • 11NOV: New Haven FREE SOS Breakfast co-organized by Trinity Bar, VFW New Haven Post 12150 and American Legion New Haven Post 210
  • 21NOV: Member Appreciation Dinner (with Jambalaya)

CHARITY

  • DEC: Collected items for Marine Corps. Toys for Tots program.
  • 10MAR: Provided Honor Guard led by Richella Rondon-Smith for combined New Haven Veterans group for Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade (Team)
  • 25MAY: Cleanup at the V beautification event at Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park on Long Wharf (Rasile)
  • 25MAY: Unserviceable Flag Collection (T. Rivera)
  • 16AUG: Student-Veterans Leadership Sponsorship created for veterans at area colleges (T. Rivera)
  • 18OCT: 2019 New Haven Kick for Nick Night raised $5,648.36 and 600+ soccer balls (Team)
  • 09NOV: Cleanup at the V beautification event at Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park on Long Wharf (Rasile)

SPEAKERS

  • 19SEP: Christine Pittsley, project director at the State Library, was our inaugural post meeting speaker, presenting on the “Digging into History: WWI Trench Restoration” program in Seicheprey, France
  • 17OCT: Jack Mordente, longtime SCSU Veteran Representative was speaker
