The American Legion New Haven Post 210 Celebrates Selection as a Stop & Shop Community Bag Program Beneficiary

NEW HAVEN, CONN. — The American Legion New Haven Post 210 has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of December 2021.

The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

The New Haven Legion was selected as the December 2021 beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop store located at 150 Whalley Avenue, New Haven CT. The New Haven Legion will receive a &1 donation every time the $2.00 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during December 2021, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

“What a great way to celebrate our third anniversary,” said Charles M. Pickett, Commander of the newly-formed American Legion New Haven Post 210.
